About Tri-State
Beauty Academy

This Is How Our Story Began

Tri-state Beauty Academy is owned by Nancy Jeffreys who emigrated from Kenya, to the United States in February of 2013 to join her husband Zachary Jeffreys a retired veteran. Before coming to the United States, Nancy had been a Licensed Cosmetologist for twenty-five years but as a requirement, she had to go back to Cosmetology school and pursue the course all over again to acquire her US license.  Four years after Nancy graduated from International Beauty school in Martinsburg WV, she saw a need for another Beauty school, and she decided  to open one and Tri-State Beauty Academy was born. The Tri -state beauty academy was registered with WV Secretary of state in 2017 and preparation of the beauty school started then. This was working on the business plan with the help of a WV SBA officer Mary Hott who worked with the owner and founder Nancy Jeffreys and her husband Zachary Jeffreys for two and half years. After thoroughly going through the business plan, Nancy and her husband decided it would be better for Nancy to start with a hair shop since she had only been in the States for four years ,which would give her an opportunity to get the feel of running a smaller entity before venturing into broader entity .Hence ,the birth of Executive beauty bar, However, Nancy displayed her instructor's license together with the other business licenses as a reminder that  her main goal was to teach and inspire  other people who wanted be  beauticians .
